Pack layers, a light waterproof jacket and comfortable walking shoes, which suit nearly every season. Statistics Denmark's 2012 yearbook gives average temperatures of about 0 °C in January and 16 °C in August, and rain on about every second day, so changeable weather is normal. Add sun protection and swimwear in summer, and a warm hat, gloves and shoes with good grip in winter. A small day bag helps with changing layers, and an offline map is useful on islands with weak reception.
